Get Ready for a Dental Visit Unlike Any Other!

First Visit

Your First Visit To Tooth Works Is All About Getting To Know You And Ensuring That You Are Comfortable In Our Clinic.

Contact | Tooth Works Dentistry

We want to make sure there are no surprises and that you feel at home with our team.

During your visit, we encourage you to ask questions, share your concerns, and provide us with any relevant information about your health. Full-mouth x-rays and a comprehensive exam of your teeth, gums, mouth, and jaws will be performed, including a non-invasive oral cancer screening.

Once your first visit exam is completed, your dentist will talk with you about their findings. Together you will create a healthy, effective treatment plan that best meets your dental and personal needs. We can prioritize and stagger your treatments to give you the smile you need, in a timeframe that is comfortable for you.
If you haven’t been to a dentist in a long while, please don’t worry. You’ve made an important decision, and there is no need to feel guilty! We will go above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and safe.

Not only is your physical comfort important to us, but your emotional comfort is as well. So, come in, recline, and unwind. You’re in great hands, and we can’t wait to meet you!

New Patient Form

To expedite your check-in process and minimize your wait time, you can access and fill out our New Patient Form before your visit.

Tooth Works Policies

INSURANCE POLICY

Tooth Works is committed to providing you with the easiest medical care experience possible, which is why we help you file your claim with your insurance provider.

Please make sure to consult your dental coverage plan before meeting with one of our dental specialists so you can better understand all associated charges.

Our support team is available to help explain and interpret your dental coverage policy with you if you need assistance. Although we make every possible effort, due to privacy acts, we cannot be held responsible to know the details (maximums and frequencies) of your insurance coverage.

Full payment is expected at the time of service for services not covered by your insurance provider unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept the following insurer policies: ADSC, ALBERTA WORKS AND AISH.

Payment Options

Our goal is to make quality dental care accessible to all our patients. We offer various payment options for your convenience. We accept credit cards, debit, and cash.

Cancellation Policy

Changes to appointments must be made 48 hours in advance. This courtesy allows us to book another patient into the open appointment time. There is a $100 charge for missed appointments, which may be applied to those more than 15 minutes late for appointments as well. Please let the office know if you are rescheduling due to an emergency, as we may be able to waive this charge in certain situations.

Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in a rescheduled appointment, as a late appointment will cause other patients’ appointments to be pushed back. This is unfair to those who have arrived on time.

Say Goodbye to Downtown Parking Stress!

Reserved parking for Tooth Works patients is now available.

Tooth Works Dentistry

We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with the Impark lot right next door to our practice. We have reserved stalls for patient use, and it’s absolutely free! Simply validate your license plate at our reception desk.

Should our reserved stalls be fully occupied, we’re still able to validate street parking through E-Park. Upon arrival for your appointment, please let us know if you are parked in an E-Park spot. We’ll need to know how long you’ve paid for, the zone you’re parked in, and your license plate number. During your appointment, we’ll ensure your parking doesn’t expire (our team will extend your parking if needed). We’ll also validate the parking you’ve paid for.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about Dental Visits

Your questions matter to us. Below are the answers to a few common questions we get from our new patients:

What insurance do you accept?2023-10-03T15:07:47-06:00

We work with a variety of insurance providers to help you maximize your dental benefits. Our dental clinic accepts most major insurance plans, including but not limited to Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life Financial, Manulife, Great-West Life, and Canada Life. Our experienced team is knowledgeable in navigating dental insurance policies and will assist you in understanding and utilizing your coverage effectively. We are committed to helping you receive the dental care you deserve while making the most of your insurance benefits.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept the following insurer policies: ADSC, ALBERTA WORKS AND AISH.

Can you help with dental anxiety or fear?2023-09-06T12:18:30-06:00

Yes, we understand that dental anxiety or fear is common and can be a barrier to receiving proper dental care. Our caring team is experienced in helping patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. We offer various techniques to manage anxiety, such as sedation dentistry or the use of relaxation techniques. We encourage open communication, and together we can create a calm and positive dental experience tailored to your needs.

How often should I visit the dentist for check-ups and cleanings?2023-09-06T12:18:03-06:00

Regular dental check-ups and cleanings are essential for maintaining optimal oral health. We recommend scheduling a visit every six months. However, the frequency may vary based on your individual needs and oral health condition. The experienced Tooth Works team will assess your specific situation and provide personalized recommendations to ensure your smile stays healthy and beautiful.

Do you offer dentistry for the whole family?2023-09-06T12:17:35-06:00

Absolutely. Our preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dental services include treatments suitable for patients of all ages. While we enjoy creating gorgeous, healthy smiles for patients of any age, some children deal with dental appointments better at a pediatric dentist’s office. We also refer our patients who have extensive dental problems, like advanced periodontitis or problematic root canals, to specialists for optimal care.

What can I expect during a routine dental check-up?2023-09-06T12:17:05-06:00

During a routine dental check-up, our dentist will examine your teeth, gums, and oral tissues for any signs of decay, gum disease, or other oral health issues. X-rays may be taken if necessary. We will also perform a thorough cleaning to remove plaque and tartar buildup. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have about your oral health. Our goal is to ensure your comfort and provide expert guidance for maintaining a healthy smile.

What should I bring to my first dental appointment?2023-09-06T12:16:12-06:00

For your first dental appointment, please bring your identification, insurance information (if applicable), and any relevant medical or dental records. This will help us better understand your oral health history and provide you with personalized care from the start.
